Talent Assessment & Development

One place for pre-hire (candidate) assessments, current-employee assessments, and training & development — with anti-cheating measures, question banks, compliance certificates, and analytics. (Previously labelled “Training & Assessments”.)

Creating Assessments

Build assessments for hiring, compliance training, or professional development. Open Workforce > Talent Assessment & Development.

  1. Click Create Assessment
  2. Enter assessment title and description
  3. Select assessment type:
    • Hiring Assessment — For evaluating job candidates
    • Compliance Training — Mandatory regulatory assessments
    • Professional Development — Optional skill-building tests
    • Onboarding — New employee orientation quizzes
  4. Set time limit (in minutes)
  5. Set passing score (default: 80% for compliance, 70% for others)
  6. Configure number of attempts allowed
  7. Add questions from the question bank or create new ones
  8. Click Save Assessment

Question Bank

The question bank is a central repository of all assessment questions, organized by category and difficulty level.

Pre-Loaded Questions

Workforce Intelligence includes 189 pre-loaded Nigerian regulatory compliance questions covering:

  • Workplace Health & Safety regulations
  • Labour Act compliance
  • Anti-money laundering (AML) awareness
  • Data protection (NDPR compliance)
  • Fire safety and emergency procedures
  • Anti-harassment and workplace conduct
  • Environmental regulations

Question Types

  • Multiple Choice — Single correct answer from 4 options
  • Multi-Select — Multiple correct answers
  • True/False — Binary choice questions
  • Short Answer — Text response (manually graded or keyword-matched)

CSV Question Import

Bulk import questions using CSV format:

  1. Download the question import template from Question Bank > Import
  2. Fill in columns: Question, Type, Option A, Option B, Option C, Option D, Correct Answer, Category, Difficulty
  3. Upload the CSV file
  4. Review the import preview and confirm

Assigning Assessments

For Hiring

Share a 6-digit assessment code with job candidates. They access the assessment portal at your organization's URL, enter the code, and begin the test without needing a staff account.

For Compliance

Assign to specific departments, branches, or individual staff. Assigned staff receive a notification with a deadline to complete the assessment.

6-Digit Assessment Codes

Each assessment generates a unique 6-digit access code (e.g., 482917). This code:

  • Can be shared verbally, via email, or printed on documents
  • Has a configurable expiry (default: 7 days after generation)
  • Can be regenerated if compromised
  • Supports usage limits (e.g., valid for 50 uses)

Anti-Cheating Measures

Workforce Intelligence employs multiple layers of exam integrity protection:

  • Copy/Paste Blocked — Right-click and keyboard shortcuts for copy/paste are disabled during the assessment
  • Tab Switch Detection — If the candidate switches to another browser tab or application, a warning is recorded. After 3 tab switches, the assessment auto-submits.
  • Fullscreen Enforcement — The assessment launches in fullscreen mode. Exiting fullscreen triggers a warning and counter.
  • Question Randomization — Questions and answer options are shuffled for each participant
  • Time Lock — Each question has a minimum time before "Next" becomes available (prevents rapid clicking through)
  • IP Logging — IP address and device fingerprint are recorded with each attempt
Anti-cheating violations are logged and visible in the assessment results. Administrators can review flagged attempts and decide whether to invalidate scores.

Auto-Grading & Results

Multiple choice, multi-select, and true/false questions are graded automatically and instantly. Results include:

  • Total score and percentage
  • Pass/Fail determination
  • Time taken vs. time allowed
  • Per-question breakdown (correct/incorrect)
  • Anti-cheating violation log

Compliance Certificates

Staff who achieve the passing score (80% for compliance assessments) automatically receive a digital compliance certificate:

  • Certificate includes: staff name, assessment title, score, date, certificate number
  • Certificates are downloadable as PDF from the staff portal
  • Certificates have a configurable validity period (e.g., 12 months)
  • Expiring certificates trigger renewal alerts at 90, 30, and 7 days before expiry

Analytics & Leaderboards

  • Assessment Analytics — Average score, pass rate, time distribution, question difficulty analysis
  • Staff Leaderboard — Rank staff by assessment scores within department or organization
  • Compliance Dashboard — Track certification status across the organization, identify expiring and missing certifications
  • Training Progress — Monitor individual and team completion rates for assigned training
