Manage Pharmacy & Dispensing

View pending prescriptions, dispense medications, and update inventory in Cloud Sentrics Healthcare Management.

Process prescriptions by dispensing medications to patients and keeping inventory records up to date.

Steps

  1. Go to Pharmacy from the main menu.
  2. View the list of Pending Prescriptions awaiting dispensing.
  3. Select a prescription to see medication details (name, dosage, frequency, duration).
  4. Click Dispense.
  5. Record the Quantity Dispensed for each medication.
  6. Confirm to complete the dispensing. Inventory is updated automatically.

Tips

  • Dispensed prescriptions move from "Pending" to "Completed" status.
  • If stock is insufficient, the system alerts you before dispensing.
  • You can view dispensing history for any patient from their profile.
  • Inventory levels decrease automatically when you dispense.

Payment Verification

Each prescription card now displays an inline payment badge before the dispense controls:

  • 🟢 PAID — Full amount received, with payment method shown (e.g., “₦12,800 · Cash”)
  • 🟡 PARTIAL — Shows amount paid vs total due (e.g., “₦8,000 / ₦12,800 paid”)
  • 🔴 UNPAID — Full outstanding amount shown

For unpaid prescriptions, the Dispense button is disabled and replaced with “⏳ Awaiting Payment” plus a “🔍 Verify Payment” button that refreshes the status.

This eliminates the need to switch to the Billing module to check payment. Pharmacists can verify and dispense from within the Pharmacy tab.
