How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Protect your account with an extra layer of security using MFA.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your account. Even if someone knows your password, they cannot log in without the code from your phone.

Why Enable MFA?

  • Prevents unauthorized access even if your password is compromised
  • Protects sensitive student, patient, and financial data
  • Required for admin accounts in enterprise environments
  • Takes less than 2 minutes to set up

What You Need

  • A smartphone (Android or iPhone)
  • An authenticator app — we recommend:
    • Google Authenticator (free)
    • Microsoft Authenticator (free)
    • Authy (free, with backup)

Setup Steps

  1. Log in to your Cloud Sentrics dashboard
  2. Click Change Password in the top navigation bar
  3. After changing your password, the system will prompt you to set up MFA
  4. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on screen
  5. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to verify
  6. Done — MFA is now active on your account

Logging In With MFA

After setup, every login will require:

  1. Your email and password (as usual)
  2. A 6-digit code from your authenticator app

The code changes every 30 seconds. Enter the current code shown in your app.

If You Lose Your Phone

Contact your organization's admin. They can reset your MFA from the User Management section, allowing you to set up a new device.

Tips

  • Don't uninstall your authenticator app
  • If you get a new phone, set up MFA again before wiping the old one
  • Consider using Authy — it backs up your codes to the cloud
  • Never share your MFA codes with anyone
