CBT Result Hub & Result Release

How students check results and how admins control result release.

Student Result Hub

Students can check their CBT results online without logging in.

How Students Access Results

1. Open the Result Hub link (provided by your school)
2. Enter Student ID (e.g., CSD/2026/0183)
3. Enter Date of Birth (for verification)
4. Click "Check Results"

All released results appear on one page — no need to check subject by subject.

Sharing the Result Hub Link

Admins can find and copy the Result Hub link from:

CBT → Result Release — the link appears at the top with a "Copy Link" button.

Share this link with students and parents via WhatsApp, email, or notice board.

What Students See

• Released — Score, grade, and marks displayed
• Pending — "Result pending release by administrator"
• Withheld — "Result currently unavailable. Contact administrator."

The page also shows:

• School branding (logo, name, motto, address)
• Student name and class
• Exam session context (e.g., "Term 3 Examination • 2026/2027")
• Summary banner (e.g., "✔ 3 Results Found — All Released")

Students can print all released results using the "Print Results" button. The printout includes the school letterhead.

If No Results Exist

• Student exists but hasn't taken any exams — "No assessment results available yet for this student."
• Student ID not found — "No results found for this Student ID."

Admin Result Release

Admins have full control over result visibility — at any time, for any test.

Setting Up Delayed Release

When assigning an assessment:

1. Go to Assign Assessment
2. Check "Hold results — release manually after review"
3. Optionally set an auto-release date/time
4. Click "Assign Assessment"

Students who submit will see "Results pending" instead of their score.

The Release Tab

Go to CBT → Result Release to see ALL assigned tests:

• Tests that were held (pending release)
• Tests that are already released
• Tests that were withheld or locked

Filter by Class, Subject, or Status to find specific tests.

Releasing Results

1. Select assessments using the checkboxes
2. Click "Release Selected" or "Release All"
3. Confirm the release

Once released:

• Students can see their scores on the Result Hub
• Parents receive an email notification

Withholding Results (Retroactive)

Admin can withhold results at any time — even after they were released:

1. Select the assessments
2. Click "Withhold"
3. Enter a reason
4. Students will see "Result currently unavailable"

This is useful when:

• Suspected cheating needs investigation
• Results need correction
• School policy requires review before release

Per-Student Withhold

Admin can withhold results for individual students while keeping the test released for everyone else:

1. Go to CBT → Attempts
2. Select the assessment
3. Find the student in the table
4. Click "Withhold" next to their name
5. Enter a reason (e.g., "Outstanding fees")

That student sees "Withheld" while classmates see their scores normally.

To release: click "Release" next to the student's name.

Use case: Student was granted exception to take the exam without paying fees, but must pay before seeing results.

Scheduled Release

Set results to release automatically at a specific date/time:

1. When assigning, check "Hold results"
2. Set the "Auto-release at" date/time
3. Results release automatically when that time arrives

No admin action needed.

Result Statuses

Status	Meaning
Released	Student can see score and grade
Pending	Submitted but not yet released
Withheld	Held back by admin (with reason)
Locked	Permanently restricted

Visibility Settings

Admin can control what information students see on the Result Hub:

Go to Dashboard → Academic Settings → Result Hub Visibility:

• ☑ Show score (e.g., 15/20)
• ☑ Show grade (e.g., A, B+)
• ☑ Show percentage (e.g., 78%)

Uncheck any option to hide it from all students. Default is all visible.

Example: Uncheck "Show percentage" — students see only grade and marks, not the percentage.

Teacher Access

Teachers can view the Release tab (read-only):

• See which tests are held, released, or withheld
• Cannot release or withhold (admin only)
• Cannot withhold individual students (admin only)

Parent Notifications

When results are released, parents automatically receive an email:

• "Assessment results for [child name] have been released"
• Instructions to visit the Result Hub
• Uses the parent email from student registration

Security

• Students must verify with Date of Birth
• Rate limiting — 5 failed verification attempts per IP locks access for 15 minutes
• API throttling — 50 requests/second with 100 burst capacity
• Scores are never shown until admin releases
• Per-student withhold overrides test-level release
• Every result lookup is logged in the Activity Log
• Every release/withhold action is logged with admin name and timestamp
• Results are encrypted and audit-protected
