Order Lab Tests
Request laboratory tests for a patient so the lab team can process samples and record results.
Steps
- Go to Laboratory > Orders from the main menu.
- Click New Order.
- Select the Patient from the dropdown or search by name.
- Choose one or more Tests from the test catalog (e.g., "Complete Blood Count", "Urinalysis").
- Add any special Instructions if needed (e.g., "Fasting sample").
- Click Submit Order.
How It Works
- The order appears in the lab team's queue for processing.
- Lab staff collect the sample, run the test, and enter results.
- Results are linked to the patient's record once completed.
Tips
- You can order multiple tests in a single order.
- Check the test catalog for available tests at your facility.
